Since its commercialization in the 90’s, the Internet has massively revolutionized the way humans have interacted with each other, shared information, and conducted business. Domain names have been the foundation for everything we do online — translating strings of text to IP addresses ensuring universal access to the Internet.
Bridging Web2 and Web3 with Interoperable Infrastructure
Today, we are excited to unveil D3, a next-generation domain name company pioneering the modern digital identity. Our mission is to increase accessibility, security, and transparency for digital identities, with Web2-to-Web3 interoperability as our primitive for the domain names asset class.
Leveraging our team’s strong backgrounds in the domain industry, our patent-pending technology will deliver enhanced utility, security, and universal access for new proposed namespaces. We plan to develop and launch the first tokenized marketplace for Web3-interoperable DNS domains.
We’re developing innovative solutions with native support for browsers, email, and wallets, and partnering with leading Web3 organizations, foundations, and ecosystems to apply for and acquire new domain endings, or Top Level Domains (TLDs), through ICANN, the global multi-stakeholder nonprofit organization responsible for the DNS root zone.
Our technology will empower individuals and businesses alike to seamlessly navigate between traditional web services and decentralized applications, enhancing user experience through native interoperability.
The Future of Domain Trading
With interoperability at our core, we’re also extending our mission to increase accessibility, security, and transparency for legacy DNS domains by launching the first on-chain marketplace. Our marketplace will allow the tokenization of domains across more than 1,000 top level domains (TLDs), including popular extensions such as .com, .net, and .xyz.
Our founding team has decades of experience in the domain industry, having launched and managed over 350 accredited TLDs, including .xyz, .inc, .tv, .link, and many more.
By tokenizing domains, we aim to address challenges like low transparency, high broker fees, transfer delays, and reliance on escrow services — providing a more efficient and user-friendly domain experience.
With roughly more than 400 million domain names registered today, and over 5 billion connected users to the Internet, we believe the need for new personalized domains are imminent. Web3 and digital natives have unique requirements and demand more control over their privacy and data. We acknowledge this need and are committed to providing new domain extensions that enable enhanced branding opportunities and personalized digital identities.
